Jonalisa, coffee picker [english version]
Jonalisa works on the plantations of a small coffee farm producing specialty coffee in southern Minas Gerais, Brazil. Her hands, like those of so many others in the coffee industry, are the first to come into contact with the coffee we drink. By telling her daily life, she gives us a glimpse into a rural worker, a woman and an Afro-descendant life in rural Brazil. This episode is a sound production based on an in-situ recording of an interview with a rural worker as part of anthropological research into the coffee value chain (October 2023, southern Minas Gerais). Many thanks to this woman, for her participation and for what she represents and tells us about the world.Narrator's voice: Braida ThomDubbing (Jonalisa's voice): Marie SigristJingle music: "Patterns", Gilbert Sigrist Trio (Prod.
